Luke 14:25-34 is where Jesus was walking and talking with a crowd that was following Him, and he started telling them about what it takes to be His disciple. In verse 27 He says “And anyone who does not carry his cross and follow me cannot be my disciple”. Now remember that this is before Jesus went to be crucified, so He told them right up that to be His disciple you have to be ready to die a hor...rible death. I’m sure at the time the people didn’t really get what Jesus was saying, and were just looking for the next miracle. After He was crucified I would think these words would make the disciples question their decision physically, but as we see from the history in the book of Acts they were living in the Spirit not worried about their bodies. We are studying over Acts tonight where the Apostle Paul walks head-long in to martyrdom for the God he loves, we would love to have you come and join us. The Bible Study is at Williamsburg Apartments Clubhouse, at 6:30pm. Hope to see You there!
